The Rivards
Written by Patrick Engman
We totally like location shoots. It provides a challenge and a sense of adventure! Dustin and I hopped on our hand gliders and floated on by to the Rivard's palace. Ok, it wasn't that extreme but I'm just trying to use my imagination! The goal was to shoot the young'ns in front of the Christmas tree. Easy! Sort of.... We slapped together the technicals, metered, external flash, umbrella and prepared to fire. The challenge was getting both boys to smile in sync and sing in harmony. Ok, not to that extent. After we shot inside, we decided to get the family together and head out to the golf course before it got too dark. We were minutes away from being forced to use flash so we shot at high ISOs and and did it quickly. I think we got some good stuff.
